When to use this kit

  • Weeping threaded joints after a fixture swap
  • New faucet or angle-stop install
  • Minor seeps at supply connections

Quick steps

  1. Shut off water (local valve if available).
  2. Remove old tape/compound completely.
  3. Wrap PTFE clockwise 6–8 turns on male threads.
  4. Apply a thin film of compound; avoid excess.
  5. Reconnect and snug with wrench—don’t overtighten.
  6. Open valve and check after 10 minutes, then again after 24 hours.

Note: Don’t use PTFE on compression fittings unless the manufacturer calls for it.
