Leak-Stop Kit: quick fixes for drips & seeps (under $25)
Small leaks cost money and can turn into cabinet or wall damage. This kit covers the most common “tighten / replace / seal” fixes you’ll face around sinks, toilets, and supply lines.
What’s in the kit
When to use this kit
- Weeping threaded joints after a fixture swap
- New faucet or angle-stop install
- Minor seeps at supply connections
Quick steps
- Shut off water (local valve if available).
- Remove old tape/compound completely.
- Wrap PTFE clockwise 6–8 turns on male threads.
- Apply a thin film of compound; avoid excess.
- Reconnect and snug with wrench—don’t overtighten.
- Open valve and check after 10 minutes, then again after 24 hours.
Note: Don’t use PTFE on compression fittings unless the manufacturer calls for it.
